Pritchard: Smart's trade signals I'll fight for my chances

Celtics guard Pritchard spoke with the Boston Globe about his position on the team.

Pritchard made 48 appearances in 2022-23, averaging 5.6 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.8 steals, and 36.4 percent shooting from three-point range in 13.4 minutes per game. He's an excellent three-point shooter, but due to the depth of the team's roster, he's often left to spend most of the game on the bench.

Speaking about Smart being traded, Pritchard said, "The trade was a sign that the team's management had confidence in me. But I've seen this kind of thing a lot, so obviously nothing is certain."
