Czech doubles duo Krysykova and Siniakova to be suspended in 2024

Czech doubles pair Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova announced on the WTA website on Sunday that they will retire from the game in 2024. The pair have won seven Grand Slam titles together, most recently at this year's Australian Open.

According to media reports, Siniakova initiated the split after retiring due to injury in 2023. She has not ruled out a future reunion with Kretchikova.

Krychkova and Siniakova have been one of the most dominant doubles teams in recent years. They have won at least one Grand Slam title every year since 2018 and are also the 2021 Olympic gold medalists in doubles.

We'll see who Klitschkova and Siniakova will be paired with in 2024. Klitschkova is also a successful singles player, having won the French Open in 2021. Siniakova has not been as successful in singles, but she is still a top 50 player.
